adsEbonyi State Government has intensified efforts to modernise the education sector, through the introduction of digital learning facilities, including CCTV cameras, computers and internet connectivity in schools.
Donatus Ilang, Commissioner for Education, (Primary and Secondary Education), disclosed this, while receiving a delegation from Huawei in collaboration with Smart Brain School at his office in Block 4, Centenary City, Abakaliki over the weekend.
The commissioner commended Governor Francis Nwifuru, for prioritising education and investing heavily in infrastructure across the State.
He stated that the Administration had embarked on the construction of 21 classroom blocks across the 13 Local Government Areas, to strengthen the learning environment and improve standards in public schools.
According to him, most of the projects are nearing completion and will further enhance access to quality education in the State.
