Joint security forces have commenced coordinated patrols across forest corridors and border communities in Kwara South under the newly launched Keep Kwara South Safe Project.
The patrol operation, which began on Sunday, is targeted at strengthening surveillance, intelligence gathering, and rapid response in vulnerable communities believed to be exposed to criminal activities, including kidnapping and armed attacks.
Security operatives drawn from various agencies were seen moving through strategic locations across the district as part of what authorities called a sustained security presence aimed at restoring public confidence.
Speaking on the development, Elder Olaitan Oyin-Zubair, Coordinator of the Joint Security Watch Kwara South, said the initiative was designed to prevent security breaches before they occur.
