Welcome to The National's weekly newsletter Beshara, where we share the most positive stories of the week. Eid Al Adha arrives amid cautious optimism in the Middle East, with an agreement between the US and Iran now seeming more likely after extensive negotiations this weekend and sustained regional efforts to avoid a return to war. Those developments offer a rare sense of hope after months marked by uncertainty and instability.Fingers crossed a deal is secured, bringing much-needed respite to millions across the region and making room for Eid gatherings, traditions and moments of peace.I’m not with my family this Eid, and while that is never easy, I hold on to hope that this week brings good news to my loved ones and to my people in Lebanon.May this week bring good news to you, too.Eid Mubarak,FatimaDo you have a Beshara you'd like to share with us?
