TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Manchester City striker Erling Haaland won the 2025/26 Premier League Golden Boot after finishing the season with 27 goals.The award marks the third Golden Boot title for the Norwegian forward during his career in England’s top flight.Haaland finished five goals ahead of Igor Thiago of Brentford F.C., who placed second in the scoring charts with 22 goals.The achievement further underlines Haaland’s dominance in recent Premier League seasons. The 25-year-old also won the Golden Boot in the 2022/23 and 2023/24 campaigns.Last season’s award was claimed by Mohamed Salah of Liverpool F.C. after scoring 29 goals.Haaland first won the accolade in his debut season with Manchester City F.C., netting 36 goals — one of the highest single-season tallies in Premier League history.The striker again topped the scoring charts the following season with 27 goals, the same number he recorded this year.Several other players were also in contention for the Golden Boot this season. Igor Thiago emerged as Brentford’s leading attacking figure after finishing second with 22 goals.Meanwhile, Haaland’s Manchester City teammate Antoine Semenyo finished third with 17 goals.The Ghana international impressed after joining from AFC Bournemouth during the January transfer window.Ollie Watkins of Aston Villa F.C. ended the season as the highest-scoring English player with 16 goals.
