Ring, Amazon's premium home security brand, has announced two new outdoor cameras heading to its expansive line-up in Australia.Available for pre-order on Amazon ahead of June shipping dates, the new Ring Spotlight Camera (2nd Gen) and Ring Floodlight Camera (2nd Gen) have been designed with Australian homes in mind, touting improved features over previous generations.Notably, both cameras record sharper 2K video — an upgrade from the previous 1080p footage — making it easy to recognise and capture activity outside homes. This includes people, packages, and pet detection under both day and night conditions.In terms of specific features, the Ring Spotlight Camera has a 550-lumen spotlight that provides enhanced brightness and is fully compatible with Ring's quick-release battery pack, so you don't need to worry about wiring it in.The Ring Floodlight Camera has a much wider field of view, with a 2000-lumen spotlight that will illuminate everything around your home, including your driveway, backyard or garage.When it comes to pricing, the Ring Spotlight Camera (2nd Gen) is available for AU$279 on Amazon and Ring, with shipping estimated for June 11, 2026.
