The NCAA Tournament selection committee is hard at work, pulling in all of the data and metrics, sorting through it all, and evaluating who they believe should be hosting a regional next weekend. That wouldn't have been good enough to keep them truly alive in the Big 12 title race heading into the final weekend of the regular season, but winning two would be enough to boost the resume. Sweeping Kansas? It never crossed my mind as a possibility, and I'm sure I wasn't alone in thinking that. It really opened some eyes and turned some heads, especially with how they silenced such a potent offense for an entire weekend.Sweeping that series instead of just winning it may ultimately end up being the difference in the Mountaineers becoming a regional host.
