NewsUK NewsWest Midlands PoliceA 16-year-old boy is in a serious condition in hospital after he was attacked with a machete on Duncan Edwards Close, in Dudley, West Midlands and is lucky to be alive say police15:59, 24 May 2026A teenager boy has been seriously injured in a machete attack with police launching a manhunt for his attackers.Police said the 16-year-old was slashed at around 2pm on Saturday afternoon while he was on Duncan Edwards Close, in Dudley, West Midlands, when "violence broke out".It is understood that the victim was approached by two young men on a moped who allegedly attacked him with a machete before fleeing the scene.The boy suffered serious injuries to his chest and face and was rushed to hospital where he had to undergo surgery. They attacked him before fleeing.
