Former IAS officer Elias George has been appointed chairperson of the board of directors of Federal Bank Ltd.The appointment is for a period of three years. He had been serving as a board member of the bank for the last two years, a statement said.Mr. George is a former IAS officer from the 1982 batch. He had stepped down as the Additional Chief Secretary to the Kerala government.He was the Managing Director of Kochi Metro Rail Ltd. from 2012 to 2018.He had also worked with KPMG as Chairperson (Infrastructure, Health and Government).
