President Bola Tinubu recorded a sweeping victory in the All Progressives Congress presidential primary election in Yobe State on Saturday, securing 253,804 votes.
Governor Mai Mala Buni, who served as the collation officer for the exercise, announced in Damaturu that Tinubu polled 91.5 per cent of the total registered APC members in the state to emerge victorious in the primary.
According to the governor, Tinubu defeated his challenger, Osifo Stanley, who scored zero votes in the election.
Declaring the results, Buni said, “President Tinubu has scored 91.5 per cent of the total number of registered APC members in Yobe State in today’s presidential primary election.”
