The report mentioned that he was "known to the Secret Service" for "walking around the White House complex asking about ways to enter at various entry points."He was involuntarily committed to a mental hospital on June 26, 2025 for "obstructing vehicle entry" into part of the White House complex, according to court documents.On July 10, 2025, Best disregarded warning signs and walked into a restricted area outside the White House, according to the filing, where several officers confronted him.
