Moscoe served in office for more than 30 years before retiring in 2010. He held various roles including alderman, Metro councillor, Toronto city councillor and was appointed chair of the TTC in 1998.
Longtime Toronto politician Howard Moscoe, perhaps best known for his colourful quips and rivalry with former mayor Mel Lastman, died Saturday morning.
Moscoe passed away surrounded by family at Hennick Humber Hospital, his daughter Cheryl said. His family did not disclose his cause of death but said he has battled numerous medical conditions for years.
