actor and filmmaker, Jide Oyegbile, popularly known as J-Blaze, has revealed that his decision to transition from medicine to filmmaking was driven by his passion for storytelling and impacting lives.
Speaking in an interview with Sunday Scoop, the actor said acting stopped being just a hobby in 2018 after years of trying to combine filmmaking with his medical career.
According to him, he had always envisioned a future in both medicine and entertainment.
“It was probably 2018, because I’ve been acting since I was seven. Two main things that I’d always figured out that I was going to be was a doctor or be an actor because I wanted to impact lives,” he said.
The Bowen University graduate explained that his father’s career as a medical doctor greatly influenced his decision to study medicine.
