BEIRUT, May 24. /TASS/. Israeli warplanes continue to deliver air strikes on southern and eastern districts of Lebanon, killing 12 people and wounding 109 in the past day, the Lebanese health ministry said.
"The overall number of citizens killed since the military escalation began on March 2, has reached 3,123, with 9,506 wounded," the ministry said in its daily bulletin, posted on the X social network.
The death toll is expected to grow as rescue teams continue to clear the rubble of buildings destroyed by Israeli bombings in the cities of Nabatieh and Tyre, the ministry added.
