Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Walson-Jack
The Federal Government has announced the successful completion of the transition to paperless operations across all federal ministries and extra-ministerial departments as part of ongoing public service reforms aimed at improving governance and service delivery.
According to a statement on Saturday, the announcement was made during the International Civil Service Conference 2026, where government officials, reform experts, and technology stakeholders gathered to discuss digital transformation and the future of governance in Africa.
Speaking at the conference, the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Walson-Jack disclosed that all 38 federal ministries and extra-ministerial departments met the December 2025 deadline for full digitalisation and paperless operations.
According to her, the reform is part of broader efforts to modernise the Federal Civil Service through technology-driven systems and innovation.
