An interim deal between the US and Iran is in its final phase and is “fairly comprehensive to terminate the war”, Reuters reported on Saturday, quoting a Pakistani official involved in negotiations.

However, the official added that “it is never over till it is done”.

Reuters reported that the proposed framework for an end to the conflict would unfold in three stages: formalling ending the war, resolving the Hormuz crisis, and launching a 30-day window for negotiations on a broader agreement, with the possibility for extension.

The deal is currently under review, with Trump telling Axios that he will decide on Sunday whether to resume the war or move forward with the deal, after speaking to senior advisors and Middle East leaders.
