A former Governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun, on Saturday reaffirmed his support for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections, declaring that members of the ruling All Progressives Congress across the country are united behind the President’s second-term ambition.
Amosun made the declaration during the APC presidential primary exercise held at Ward 6, Itoko, Abeokuta, Ogun State, where party faithful turned out in large numbers to participate in the process.
Speaking with journalists after casting his vote, the former governor described the exercise as a special moment for party members to publicly reaffirm their loyalty to President Tinubu and the APC.
“Well, you know today is very special. Today is for the President and we all must come out to show and demonstrate that yes, we are for the President, we are for APC, and that’s why I am here,” Amosun said.
He explained that party stakeholders had already aligned on supporting the President’s re-election, noting that the exercise was simply a reaffirmation of an existing consensus among party members nationwide.
