Ferne McCann tells the Mirror about her future family plans with fiancé Lorri Haines - and the one thing that brought them closer together16:17, 23 May 2026Ferne McCann has opened up about her family plans for the future with fiancé Lorri Haines. The 35-year-old is already mum to eight-year-old Sunday, who she shares with an ex partner. Then in 2023, Ferne and Lorri welcomed a child together - another daughter they named Finty, who will turn three in July.‌In an exclusive chat with the Mirror, Ferne admits she's still feeling broody and is planning on having another baby in around five years time, ideally when she turns 40.‌She shared: "If you were to ask me, like, even two months ago, I’d be like, 'Oh, I’m really happy with my two'. I just don’t think you can plan your life. You can have an idea, and you can just go along with the plan, but you never know what’s going to happen. I feel very lucky that I’ve got two healthy girls. I’m 36 this year, like maybe. But I’ve just got rid of all my baby bits.”‌The former TOWIE star recently posted a video showing off her amazing two stone weight loss transformation, which she says she achieved without doing anything "extreme" or "restrictive". Captioning the post, she wrote: "The things that actually changed my body shape and helped me lose weight…She continued: "It wasn't anything drastic. It was: Following a simple nutrition plan, sticking to my breakfast meal replacement shake (high nutrition, low calories), drinking 2–3L of water a day, staying in a calorie deficit, hitting my protein target, daily movement, accountability (this is a big one!!! being surrounded by women doing the same as you)."‌While Ferne is happy to be back to her post-baby body for the moment, she hasn't ruled out having baby number three - but says she's happy to wait a few years.She says: "I quite like my six-year age gap. Sunday is in school, and then Finty's almost had this first child experience, because me and Lorri are around. So maybe I’ll leave it another five or six years, when I’m 40. That could be quite cool."The star also got emotional as she discussed the fact that she has now finished breastfeeding her youngest daughter: “I’m holding back the tears, because obviously this is an emotional call."‌“So it’s been a good few months now [she’s finished breastfeeding], but hormones! And when I think, ‘Oh, this is going to be the last time,’ it makes me broody. It makes me emotional. It’s such a close bond you have with your babies.”Ferne and Lorri began dating in 2021 and got engaged a year later. Though there have been split rumours since, Ferne tells us the pair never actually went their separate aways - though both of them have thought about it at one point or another.‌She candidly admitted: "I would be lying if I said there weren’t moments that it had both crossed our mind. And that’s just me being completely honest, as honest as I probably have been in a long time in an interview."But she says it's her newfound relationship with her faith and God that has brought them even closer together."I really believe that actually welcoming God into our lives and into our relationship, and actually working on the relationship and just being more honest with each other… don’t get me wrong, there are still times when I think he’s really frustrating, like all relationships.Article continues below“But I strongly believe that having that relationship with God, and strengthening my faith with God and Jesus Christ, and really exploring that, has not only saved our relationship, but has made it even better than it was when I first met him," said Ferne.Like this story?
