Will you be turning on this feature in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced?10:48, 23 May 2026Ubisoft has revealed a feature coming to Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced that’s so good, I wish basically every other game had it. With graphics as good as they are in modern video games, it can sometimes be nice to stop, disable the heads up display, and take it all in.‌While plenty of games will allow you to disable the HUD in the settings menu, very few allow you to disable it with the press of a button. Well, that’s exactly what it looks like you’ll be able to do in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, as shown in a recent tweet from the game’s official account.‌READ MORE: Assassin's Creed Resynced is set to be a solid remake despite being more finesse than reinvention‌READ MORE: Steam Machine release date and pricing latest as the leaks keep coming“To our explorers, Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced will feature an option to seamlessly hide the HUD in-game with the press of a button,” the post reads. A video accompanies the post, showing protagonist Edward Kenway walking down the beautifully recreated streets of Havana. With all the HUD elements enabled, we’re able to see the compass at the top as well as icons hovering over NPCs. However, a press of a button removes all this in an instant, creating a much more immersive view that lets the player truly soak in the world around them.‌The difference becomes even more striking when you enter a stealth section, as even the weapon selection and equipment dial disappear along with the health bar.Content cannot be displayed without consentIn theory, you could play the entire game this way if you’re something of an immersion die-hard. However, I know I’m someone who likes to play games with more of a dynamic HUD, having the elements appear when I need them and disappear during things like traversal.‌Growing up playing games like Skyrim, I’m accustomed to installing all kinds of mods to get this sort of functionality in games. While it’s great that most titles offer granular control over what appears on screen, very few titles offer a proper dynamic mode.It looks like Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced will offer a happy medium between the two, allowing players to toggle everything on or off as they see fit. With the default key mapped to R3 as shown by an icon in the top left, it seems like this shouldn’t get in the way of normal gameplay controls, too.Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is due to launch on July 9, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.Article continues belowWill you be playing with the HUD on, off, or somewhere in between?Ensure our latest headlines always appear at the top of your Google Search by making us a Preferred Source.
