The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited online applications for recruitment to multiple Group A and Group B posts across various central government departments and ministries. UPSC 2026 Recruitment Eligibility Criteria Candidates applying for technical and engineering posts must possess degrees in fields such as Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Electrical, Aeronautical or related engineering disciplines from recognised universities. Several posts also require relevant work experience ranging from one year to five years in government departments, laboratories, industries or research organisations. Scientist-B posts in the Indian Meteorological Department require a Master’s degree in Atmospheric Sciences, Ocean Science, Hydrology, Atmospheric Physics or related subjects. Lecturer posts in Persian and Tibetan languages require a Master’s degree in the respective language along with teaching or translation experience. Candidates applying for Airworthiness Officer posts must also possess an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s licence or an Aeronautical Engineering degree with aviation maintenance experience.
