Ex-Foreign Affairs Minister Tuggar, Bala Wunti Crash Out Of APC Governorship Primary, Fail To Secure Ticket

The APC primary election, which was marred by hours of delay before the final declaration, ended with former Bauchi State Governor, Mohammed Abubakar, emerging victorious over six other aspirants.

A former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, and former Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL) official, Bala Maijama’a Wunti, have lost their bids to secure the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship ticket ahead of the 2027 election in Bauchi State.

The APC primary election, which was marred by hours of delay before the final declaration, ended with former Bauchi State Governor, Mohammed Abubakar, emerging victorious over six other aspirants.

Chairman of the APC Governorship and House of Assembly Primaries Committee for Bauchi State, retired Assistant Inspector General of Police, John Abang, announced the results in the early hours of Saturday.
