Türkiye captures 10 ISIL suspects in Syria operation
Türkiye’s National Intelligence Organization (MİT) has captured 10 ISIL suspects wanted under Red Notices in an operation carried out in Syria in coordination with Syrian intelligence, security sources said.
The suspects were brought to Türkiye following the cross-border operation, the sources said.
Nine of them were arrested after procedures carried out jointly by MİT and the police anti-terror department, while the detention period of one suspect was extended.
Security sources said the suspects were Turkish nationals who had crossed from Türkiye into Syria to join ISIL and had operated within the group.
