COTABATO CITY — More than 160 hand grenades, high-powered firearms, and ammunition were voluntarily surrendered to the military in Lanao del Sur, the Army said Saturday.
Brig. Gen. Yasser Bara, commander of the 101st Brigade, said 11 individuals from Marogong and Lumbatan towns turned over various firearms and explosives during an activity conducted by the 101st Infantry Brigade in Barangay Matalin, Malabang.
Among the surrendered items were 167 hand grenades, one M14 rifle, two Garand rifles, one carbine rifle, as well as magazines, clips, and assorted ammunition.
