New Delhi: A 700 kg albino buffalo on a farm near Dhaka has become an unlikely internet sensation—its pale skin and flowing golden hair drawing widespread comparisons to US President Donald Trump—amid reports of its impending sacrifice during Eid al-Adha.
Visitors have descended on the farm to photograph and film the animal, which has been nicknamed ‘Donald Trump’. Videos and images online prompted users to call the resemblance “uncanny”, with some likening the buffalo to a political cartoon made of flesh.The story gained fresh momentum after Bill Drexel, a researcher, posted on X that the buffalo’s viral reach was “a clear testament to the president’s uncanny charisma”, before adding that he had since learned the animal was due to be ritually sacrificed for Eid.
“Save the buffalo?” he added, tagging the US President.News agency AFP and regional media have reported that the buffalo has functioned as a local tourist attraction, with visitors queuing to document it before the festival. Eid al-Adha traditionally involves the sacrifice of livestock as part of religious observance.
