Trump confirmed his absence in a Truth Social post, saying he “very much wanted” to be at the wedding, but that "circumstances pertaining to Government, and my love for the United States of America, do not allow me to do so.”

The wedding, which will reportedly be held in the Bahamas, was described by Trump on Thursday as “a small little private affair.”
