Ulhas M. Pandurangi, 59, a senior cardiologist, was found dead under unnatural circumstances at his residence at Valasaravakkam in Chennai on Thursday.Dr. Ulhas was the chief of cardiac electrophysiology and pacing at a private hospital in Mogappair. On October, 21, 2024, he was arrested by the All-Women Police, Thirumangalam, on charges of sexual harassment.Police sources said that, following his release on bail, he was said to be experiencing mental distress and health-related issues. He had reportedly stopped attending work.According to police, Dr. Ulhas was found dead in his bedroom when no other family members were present in the house. On receiving information, Valasaravakkam police rushed to the residence, recovered the body, and sent it to a government hospital for a post-mortem examination. Police suspected that it was a case of suicide.
