The United States Department of War has announced the release of a second batch of declassified files relating to Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP), commonly referred to as UFOs, as part of a sweeping transparency initiative ordered by President Donald Trump.
The release was announced on Friday in a statement attributed to Assistant to the Secretary of War for Public Affairs and Chief Pentagon spokesman, Sean Parnell.
According to the Department of War, the files were published under the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters (PURSUE), a programme established to uncover and publicly release historical government records connected to UFOs, alien life and unexplained aerial encounters.
The newly released documents were uploaded to the government portal, WAR.GOV/UFO, where the first tranche of records had earlier been published on May 8, 2026.
