Identity-related breaches are becoming a major cybersecurity threat globally, with hackers increasingly exploiting stolen credentials, weak machine identities, and third-party access systems. The State of Identity Security 2026 report found that more than 70 per cent of organisations suffered identity breach last year, with average recovery costs crossing $1.64 million.
