AmaZulu King Misuzulu kaZwelithini has announced sweeping structural changes within the Office of the King, including the immediate closure of the private office of his majesty and the disestablishment of the office of the royal chancellor.

The announcement was made on Thursday by the Prime Minister of the Zulu Nation and Monarch, Reverend Thulasizwe Buthelezi, following what was described as a “comprehensive review of the operational requirements” of the royal office.

As part of the changes, Chief Director in the Office of His Majesty the King, Nododile Ndamase, has been relieved of his duties with immediate effect.

The King has also dissolved the office of the Royal Chancellor. In the statement, the king expressed appreciation to Malusi Zondi for his service during his tenure in that role.
