Robertson-Harris started all 17 games last season in the first year of a two-year, $9 million contract, and played 56 percent of the snaps, second-most among Giants’ defensive linemen. That trailed only three-time Pro Bowl nose tackle Dexter Lawrence, who was traded to the Cincinnati Bengals in April in exchange for the No. 10 pick in this year’s draft. Now, the Giants will need to rely more heavily on recently signed veteran defensive tackles DJ Reader and Shelby Harris, while hoping youngsters Darius Alexander and Bobby Jamison-Travis step up. Reader and Harris weren’t present at Thursday’s voluntary practice. Alexander, a third-round pick in 2025, joined Robertson-Harris as a starter on Thursday. Jamison-Travis, a sixth-round pick in last month’s draft, and Zacch Pickens, who was claimed off waivers from the Kansas City Chiefs on May 5, also got reps with the first-team defense.
