While Amazon is, by and large, offering better deals on the latest Apple gear for Memorial Day, Best Buy has updated its sale event and there are some notable offers. The AirPods Pro 3 deal is better at Amazon, among others, but Best Buy has the jump on unlocked iPhone Air models at $150 off right now, and it is also now offering $99 price drops on new unlocked iPhone 16e for casual users looking to score a new iOS pocket computer phone.
As part of its 2026 Memorial Day sale, Best Buy has iPhone Air back to all-time low pricing at nearly $150 off with deals starting from $850, but it is also offering a relatively rare discount on the much more affordable iPhone 16e down at $499.99 shipped.
While the 16e has been replaced by the 17e at this point, this is still a capable device for casual users, the kids, grandma, and/or just as a spare. It originally debuted at $599, and is now $99 off the list price for the 128GB model.
However, the new 17e starts at $599 with 256GB of storage these days. And, with that said, the deal at Amazon for the 16e might be a better option:
