MANILA, Philippines — The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has warned the public against dealing with unregistered online lending platform Bridge Cash and investment scheme operator JCPRIME Non-specialized Wholesale Trading over alleged illegal activities.

In separate advisories, the SEC flagged Bridge Cash for allegedly operating an unauthorized online lending business while unlawfully using the corporate identity and business information of First Digital Finance Corporation (FDFC).

According to the commission, Bridge Cash falsely presented itself as an affiliate of FDFC through its website to create a “misleading appearance of legitimacy and regulatory authorization.”
