Protesters with Gender Liberation Movement and ACT UP block the entrance to the Department of Health and Human Services while protesting the Trump administration’s plan to cut federal funding to clinics providing care for transgender youth on February 17, 2026 in Washington, DC. 24 demonstrators were arrested while protesting on the final day of public comment over proposed rules that critics say would effectively ban gender-affirming care for transgender youth nationally.
