The first official flight of yet another direct service to Athens Airport is expected to take place on Friday, this time to Dallas in the US.
It is the first time that Athens International Airport has a direct connection to this destination, with the route being served by American Airlines.
The US airline had announced the inclusion of the flight in its summer schedule several months ago, confirming in practice that despite the international environment of uncertainty, it continues to see strong prospects in the Greek market.
The new connection further strengthens the flow of visitors from the US, who have historically been among the visitors with the highest per capita expenditure in this country.
