The Palestine Committee in the Jordanian parliament has condemned Israeli measures to seize Palestinian properties and Islamic endowments in the Bab al-Silsila area adjacent to Al-Aqsa Mosque.

In a statement, committee chairman MP Suleiman Abdul Aziz Al-Saud said the committee completely rejected all Israeli measures, describing them as a clear violation of international law and the historical and legal status quo in occupied Jerusalem.

He said the “illegal practices” represented a blatant breach of international law, a direct attack on the identity of the city and its holy sites, and a dangerous attempt to impose a new reality by force.

Al-Saud warned of the seriousness of the escalating measures and their potential to inflame tensions further, saying they posed a direct threat to stability and undermined the chances of achieving a just and comprehensive peace in the region.
