Jeremy Clarkson has shared an update on how he is doing after heart surgery, admitting he suffered a “fraught year” amid his health woes. The Who Wants to be a Millionaire? host was rushed to hospital in 2024 after suffering chest pains at his home in the Cotswolds. Doctors then discovered one of his arteries was “completely blocked” and the 66-year-old required a stent, a small mesh tube which is inserted to keep an artery open and restore blood flow. Appearing on Heart Breakfast on Thursday, Clarkson told hosts Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden he was feeling “absolutely fine” now – adding that he has lost weight due to “fat jabs”. I know you’ve had a couple of health scares recently.”“Yes, it’s fat jabs,” Clarkson replied. “I look like a Lowry painting.” Adding that he is “very well”, the former Top Gear said: “It was quite a fraught year last year but no, I'm absolutely fine now. Tickety-boo.” The star’s heart surgery will feature in the new series of Clarkson’s Farm, with the first four new episodes set to arrive on 3 June. The following two will follow on 10 June, with the final two instalments dropping on 17 June. “It is the most dramatic one of the shows we have done so far,” Clarkson said. “And it gets more and more dramatic towards the end. Yeah, I’ll say no more than that because we’re not actually doing any PR for this series at all.” A trailer released earlier this week showed Clarkson being treated in hospital, with various electrocardiogram (ECG) wires connected to his body.Watch Apple TV+ free for 7 dayNew subscribers only. £9.99/mo. after free trial. My heart wasn’t getting any blood.”Later in the trailer, Clarkson heads to the farmers’ protest in London in November that year, where thousands marched over changes to inheritance tax for farmers made in the Budget.Speaking to his agricultural consultant Charlie Ireland, Clarkson said: “The doctor told me not to speak. Amazon’s told me not to speak.” However, that didn’t stop the ex-Top Gear presenter, who did deliver a speech to the protesters. In February this year, it was reported that Clarkson’s Farm had been renewed for a sixth series, with shooting having already begun.
