Lloyd Mcdonald Siswe Jacobs, 32, is wanted by Free State police for allegedly using fake social media profiles to lure, drug, and rape women.
Police in the Free State have launched an urgent manhunt for a 32-year-old man accused of using multiple fake social media profiles to lure women before allegedly drugging and raping them.
The suspect, identified as Lloyd Mcdonald Siswe Jacobs, is also wanted in a separate case in which he allegedly threatened to kill an investigating officer.
According to the South African Police Service, the Provincial Serious and Violent Crime Investigation Unit is searching for Jacobs following a rape case reported in Bloemfontein earlier this month.
Police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Thabo Covane said investigators believe the suspect operated online using several aliases, including the name “Shane Carson”, to target unsuspecting women on Facebook and other social media platforms.
