Orlando Pirates face Orbit College in a crucial Betway Premiership clash where every point matters in a tightening title race, and defensive discipline could decide the outcome.
While attention often turns to attacking talent, the Buccaneers’ most consistent strength this season has been their backline — and at the centre of it is captain Nkosinathi Sibisi. Since the departure of Mbekezeli Mbokazi to MLS side Chicago Fire in January, Sibisi has taken on an even greater leadership burden.
Alongside Lebone Seema, he has helped stabilise a defence that has grown into one of the most reliable units in the division.
The results have been historic. Pirates have conceded the fewest goals in the Betway Premiership and have recorded 20 clean sheets across all competitions — a new PSL-era record for the club.
