An 18 year old lost his life and another teenager was left nursing serious injuries following a crash involving a motorcycle and a cow along the Petersfield main road in Westmoreland late Wednesday night.Dead is Finardo Whitelocke, a resident of Logwood district in Whithorn, Westmoreland.Reports from the police are that about 11:30 p.m., Whitelocke was riding a motorcycle towards Savanna-la-Mar with a 16-year-old boy as his pillion passenger when a cow wandered onto the roadway near Petersfield Primary School.The motorcycle reportedly collided with the animal, causing both riders to be flung from the motorbike.The injured teens were transported to the Savanna-la-Mar Public General Hospital, where Whitelocke was pronounced dead by doctors.
