Senior Pastor of Trinity House Church, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo, the Chairman of The Punch Nigeria Limited, Angela Emuwa, and other panellists have called on Nigerian youths to embrace service-driven leadership anchored on integrity, discipline and responsibility.
They made the call at a Leadership Summit and Mentorship Programme held at the University of Lagos, where speakers also urged participants to harness opportunities in the digital age for positive impact and national development.
The summit has “Youth Leadership in the Digital Age: Harnessing Technology, Inspiring Leadership” as its theme.
Ighodalo, speaking at the event, said Nigeria’s development challenges are largely rooted in a deficit of sacrificial leadership, warning that the country will struggle to progress until leaders begin to prioritise service over self-interest.
According to him, genuine leadership must be anchored on service, discipline, integrity and a willingness to place national interest above personal gain.
