T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach are one step closer to walking down the aisle. The former "Good Morning America" hosts opened up about their upcoming wedding during an appearance on "Bill and Giuliana: The Podcast" on Tuesday, May 19.Holmes, 48, threw his fiancée something of a marital curveball when he revealed to hosts Giuliana and Bill Rancic that the couple had settled on a wedding date."Are you OK with that date? I had a date that I really wanted," Robach, 53, said, although she refrained from disclosing the specific day. "You're just telling me now on the podcast that you're OK with that date?"Holmes said that the pair's conversation with the "Bill and Giuliana" hosts "made me more comfortable" committing to the ceremony date.In December 2022, Holmes and Robach were removed from their hosting gigs with "Good Morning America" after the Daily Mail published video and photographs of the two married anchors holding hands and Holmes patting Robach on the bottom. The following month, ABC News confirmed that the controversial news personalities would not be returning to the show. The couple maintained their respective marriages were nearly over, but they both decided not to respond to the allegations to avoid escalating the drama.Three years after their dating scandal, Holmes and Robach revealed in October that they were engaged, breaking the news during an episode of their joint podcast "Amy & TJ."Bill Rancic joked during the interview that he and Giuliana could officiate Holmes and Robach's wedding, as the couple are "ordained online ministers."But the soon-to-be newlyweds didn't take the Rancics up on their offer, with Holmes teasing that they have a sentimental occasion in mind for their nuptials."There is a way we want to get married that we haven't revealed necessarily, but it would be very special to us," Holmes said. "We can't say what that is. That's a big thing for us."Contributing: Taijuan Moorman, Anthony Robledo and Jenna Ryu, USA TODAY
