The Pittsburgh Pirates are trying to turn some heads with their latest fan giveaway. As part of the team’s annual “Yinzerpalooza Weekend,” the first 20,000 people to arrive for the Pirates’ July 25 game against the Chicago Cubs will receive one of 20,000 special-edition bobbleheads. Most baseball fans are used to promotions like that, usually featuring miniature players or the team mascot. This time, though, the Pirates are bringing in some help from Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center.Fans attending the game can pick up a tiny version of Noah Wyle, who has starred as Dr. Robby in HBO’s Steel City-set series “The Pitt” since its 2025 debut. The decorative Wyle comes in a pair of black scrubs, complete with a stethoscope, a hospital badge featuring the Pirates logo and a sign for “Yinzerpalooza” sponsor Mrs. T’s Pierogis.“Dr. Robby will see you now,” the team wrote in a video announcing the giveaway, which featured iconic spots such as Pamela’s Diner and Wholey’s fish market in the city’s Strip District.

(The stadium is actually on the city’s North Shore, but don’t let that ruin your enjoyment of the Yinzerism above.)
