Esteban Ocon called the stories about his future with Haas “complete bulls—,” adding that the rumors of him and team boss Ayao Komatsu having a dispute during the Miami Grand Prix weekend are “complete nonsense.”“Honestly, it’s all fabricated, complete bulls—,” the Frenchman said during his media session ahead of the Canadian Grand Prix weekend. “As I said, I came to this team for the reason that I know Ayao since so long. I’ve got a great relationship with him. That’s always been the case, and there’s nothing like what people have been saying going on. It’s completely not true.“I’m fully focused on what I have to do, the job I have to do with the team.”Ocon joined Haas after the 2024 Formula 1 season, after spending five years with Alpine. But he’s been closely matched and sometimes outperformed by teammate Ollie Bearman. The Briton finished ahead of Ocon in the 2025 standings, and Bearman is 16 points ahead so far this season.Following the Miami Grand Prix weekend, rumors started circulating about a possible mid-season split and a breakdown of the relationship between Ocon and Komatsu — both of which Ocon denied.“The dispute about Miami is pretty crazy,” the 29-year-old said. “Obviously, we had a tough weekend after Miami, so we sat down with Ayao, but we discussed a lot of different things. How to maybe improve this, how to get better, what was going on with the car on the weekend. It was just a normal conversation.”As far as Ocon’s future with Haas, he’s “fully on board with the team for the whole year,” acknowledging that there is an existing contract. When posed that there’s an option for next year, he pointed out that those types of conversations typically take place during the summer.“At the moment, we are just focusing on what we have to do, and then we’ll see about the future later,” he said. “But there’s no, like, emergency or dispute, or we don’t talk with Ayao or the team. It’s all been fabricated, so it’s unbelievable.”Ocon did admit that he tries not to pay much attention to the rumor mill, but he feels “it’s almost like bullying in a way” when matters get “so big.”“Obviously, I’m human, so it does affect in a way, it does affect my family, it does affect the sponsors that are obviously counting on me and supporting me for many races and seasons for some sponsors that I got,” Ocon explained. “And it’s disappointing to see that you can make such damage to a reputation of a driver in two or three days while there’s nothing founded, and these people would just get away with no issues.“They just fabricate stories, put all the shit on your back, and it’s all fine for them. It’s quite crazy.”
