On April 20, 2026, a recall was issued by California Dairies Inc. over powdered milk and buttermilk that was distributed across the country to manufacturers. The recall involves a concern over salmonella contamination and has impacted a surprisingly wide range of products, from potato chips to salad dressing to pizza. This week, another product was added to the list. Sugar Foods LLC has recalled Kroger Homestyle Cheese Garlic Croutons that were sold from March 7, 2026, to April 7, 2026. The croutons are no longer in stores, but they have a long shelf life, and there’s concern that this product could be in plenty of pantries for an extended period of time, given their expiration date in 2027. The FDA has a list of nine products on its website related to the recall, but that page hasn’t been updated since May 18 and doesn’t include the most recent additions.

Other products that have been recalled include: Blackstone Parmesan Ranch Seasoning Williams Sonoma, Fireworks Popcorn Stoltzfus Family Dairy, Sour Cream and Onion Cheese Curds Wildlife Seasoning, Flavored popcorn seasoning Giant Eagle, Pita Chips with parmesan, garlic and herbs Fisher, Southern Style Nuts, Squirrel Brand, Good & Gather Pork King Good, Pork rinds and seasoning bottles Zapp’s, Dirty potato chips Ghirardelli Powdered Beverage Mix Click through on each product recall above to see the various flavors that are involved. Because it’s not a short list. The Ghiradelli recall, for example, has 13 different varieties, from the Chocolate Flavored Frappe Mix to the White Chocolate Flavored Sweet Ground Powder.
