Two members of a suspected 10-man armed robbery gang have been arrested inside a hotel in Benin City, Edo State, shortly after allegedly robbing residents in the Ugbor area.

The suspects were identified as Mustapha Haruna and Abdulahi Abdulraman.

Residents said the gang broke into homes and stole items including iPhones, Samsung phones, laptops, a JBL speaker, a power bank and an undisclosed amount of cash.

One resident said the suspects were later tracked to a hotel where they were arrested and some of the stolen items recovered. Spokesperson for the Nigeria Police Force in Edo State, Eno Ikoedem, confirmed the arrest.
