Health authorities in Uganda’s Kigezi sub-region have heightened Ebola surveillance and response measures following the confirmation of two Ebola cases in the country and rising infections in neighbouring Democratic Republic of Congo.

Meanwhile, Kenyan authorities at the Busia and Malaba border points have also intensified screening of travellers as fears of cross-border transmission grow.
