Toby Moore, a 17-year-old apprentice who works for Godolphin trainer Charlie Appleby in Newmarket, made his debut on the all-weather last autumn.‌He made his race riding debut on October 10 last year when finished third at Kempton and opened his account by riding his first winner at the same track 19 days later.‌Toby had three victories to his name when he fractured his collarbone in a spill at Chelmsford in December which kept him off the track until February this year.‌Since then he has taken his career total to six, with three winners for far this year, and came close to landing his biggest success earlier this month in the Chester Cup.READ MORE: Promising jockey suspended for 6 months for cocaine positive blamed on ‘contamination’READ MORE: Horse racing trainer dies after suffering head injury from tragic incident on tramRiding Maxi King for Kia Joorabchian’s Amo Racing, Toby finished half a length second on the 25-1 chance in the historic handicap with four-time champion jockey Dad Ryan close behind in fourth place.However Toby, who last rode in Britain on May 9, has taken time out from his stint in Newmarket to learn from master trainer Andre Fabre.‌As a result Toby will make his debut in France for the 80-year-old 30-time champion trainer in a £20,000 race for maiden fillies at Saint-Cloud on Friday.He is set to partner the twice-raced Northern Line in the Prix Timandra which will be run over a distance of ten and a half furlongs.‌Toby’s agent Tony Hind said: “Toby has gone to France for a month’s working experience and Andre has given him his first ride. It will do him the world of good to have a spin around Saint-Cloud.“He’s still apprenticed to Charlie Appleby. Nothing happens with his indentures. He just goes over there for a month’s experience. We licensed him over there so that if he got some rides from Andre Fabre or anyone else then he would be able to.Article continues below“He’s just there for a month and then he’s coming back.
