Former Made In Chelsea star Spencer Matthews has taken on a "really dangerous" 24 hour challenge that will see him trying to avoid breaking bones and going without sleep16:34, 21 May 2026Spencer Matthews has taken on a "really dangerous" 24 hour challenge. The former Made In Chelsea star, 37, is no stranger to taking on gruelling challenges, having previously ran 30 marathons in 30 days, and towards the end of last year, was up for his third full Ironman triathlon.‌Now, the entrepreneur has taken on a new challenge in which he will be accompanied by the same team who helped him accomplish Project 7, which saw him complete seven triathlons on seven continents, as he covers 92km in total with a route across Mount Snowdon in Wales that has never been attempted before, and has an elevation greater than that of Mount Kilimanjaro.‌He said: "This is the toughest challenge I have attempted in the UK. Covering more than two marathons and tackling more elevation than Mount Kilimanjaro in 24 hours is going to be absolutely brutal – a very serious physical and mental test.‌“When you’re spending 24 hours in remote mountain environments, staying connected becomes really important. Knowing I’ll still be able to access my route, weather updates, and stay in touch with my team on the ground through O2 Satellite gives me genuine reassurance going into the challengeREAD MORE: Vogue Williams says ‘imagine living with him’ as she brands Spencer Matthews ‘stupid liar’READ MORE: Vogue Williams says her divorce lawyer contacted her after hearing podcast‌He added: "It has the potential to be the hardest day that I’ve had in endurance. This has the potential to be really dangerous. The fourth ascent of the six [routes up Snowdon] is steep and quite technical. And you just wouldn’t attempt something like that without satellite connection in this case."Speaking to The Sun, he added: “It’s easy to slip and break your leg if you can’t communicate with people at your base. Or even if they’re just 2-3km away on either side, it causes a lot of confusion and could be really problematic. So I feel in very good hands with that service.""You know, when I first saw it and I had a proper look at it, I was like this is a big day out. This is going to be a really, really challenging day. And it started off quite a bit of fun. Now it’s, ‘oh, it’s pretty serious!"‌Still, Spencer, who is married to fellow reality star Vogue Williams, explained to the outlet that he is feeling "pretty confident" that he can accomplish the feat. He previously revealed that Vogue, 40, wasn't best pleased with one of his challenges that he took on last year.Speaking to Mail Online, Spencer revealed: "Oh my wife was of the opinion, 'Well, that will kill you.' My mum wasn't very happy with me. Nobody was happy, really."Upon his return, Spencer says Vogue questioned if he was "ever going to do anything like this again? " He responded: "I said: 'Well, I'd love to do something like this every year for the next ten years.'"‌It all comes after the star, who currently holds three Guinness World Records for his endurance efforts, and his wife announced they were expecting their fourth child. The pair already have Theodore, Gigi, and Otto together, but in April announced the happy news that another little one is on the way. The duo stood with their bellies touching on a beach as Vogue captioned her social media post: "BABY NUMBER 4 INCOMING." She added love heart emojis to her reveal.‌The reel continued to show the happy parents with their three other kids as the smiled for the camera on a beach in St Barts.
