CNN, citing several U.S. intelligence officials, reported that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) is restoring its military and industrial capabilities following the recent war and ceasefire much faster than initially estimated.

According to two officials familiar with U.S. intelligence assessments, approximately six weeks after the cessation of hostilities, reconstruction has begun in sections of Iran’s military industries, and part of the drone production cycle has been reactivated.

These informed sources told CNN that this process also includes the replacement of certain missile sites and launchers, a move indicating that the IRGC’s operational capability is rapidly recovering.

The report adds that during the initial weeks of the war, which began with joint U.S. and Israeli strikes in March of last year, Iran’s missile and drone facilities were among the primary targets of the attacks, inflicting serious damage on this infrastructure.

Nevertheless, new U.S. intelligence assessments show that the revival of these capabilities is progressing faster than initially forecast; a development that, according to CNN’s sources, continues to keep Iran at the level of a “significant regional threat” to the United States and its allies.
