Paarl-based KWV has solidified its reputation as a world-class distiller, achieving an impressive double country win at this year’s World Gin Awards. Both the Imagin Classic London Dry Gin and the Cruxland Kalahari Truffle Gin were named South Africa’s best in their respective categories.
Each gin was awarded a prestigious Gold medal, with Imagin Classic London Dry Gin clinching the title of South Africa's best classic-style gin for a second consecutive year. Cruxland Kalahari Truffle Gin's accolade marks its ninth international Gold medal in just six years.
The World Gin Awards serve as a testament to the high standards of craftsmanship and innovation within the global spirits sector. Organisers said, “From exceptional craftsmanship to bold innovation, this year’s entries have set a remarkable standard.”
Both gins advance to the global round, where the world’s best will be announced at a gala dinner in London on June 2.
