In the PWHL, the Montreal Victoire are Walter Cup champions after a 4-0 rout of the Ottawa Charge. Montreal becomes the first Canadian champ in PWHL history, and caps a season of tremendous growth for the new women’s pro hockey league. Reminder that the league is up to 12 teams now after Tuesday’s further expansion news. Buy early.

In the NHL, a surprise: The visiting Golden Knights walloped the star-laden Avalanche, 4-2, in Colorado last night. It should be noted the Avs were missing Cale Makar, but that doesn’t fully explain how well Vegas played here. Read our takeaways.

And in the NBA, a rebound: Oklahoma City tied its battle of titans against the Spurs with a 122-113 win. MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was the difference, scoring 30 last night after a disappointing Game 1 performance. Two injuries to monitor: San Antonio’s Dylan Harper left the game with a leg issue, while Oklahoma City’s Jalen Williams exited with a reaggravated hamstring injury. Full report here.
